What do I need to know about TERMITES?

There are four (4) species of wood-destroying pest in Northern California.

Drywood, Subterranean, Dampwood Termites, Powder Post Beetles.

Drywood termites are secretive insects and are difficult to detect. They live deep inside wood and, except during periods when they swarm or when repair work is being done on infested homes, they are seldom seen.

Various species of termites have different nesting locations and varying capacity to damage different timbers within a building. This is why it is important to select a professional termite controller that is skilled through tertiary training and years of practical experience in a wide variety of circumstances.
